Why are Indians plump? And what is the "Indian" food set?

Mobirise

Do you know why most Indians are chubby? After 30 years of life, they, both men and women, grow bellies and cheeks, and stay with them to the end. In my travels in India, of course, I visited more than one Indian restaurant and got acquainted with the menu of this country. Well, the Indian traditional plate is dominated by simple carbohydrates. What do they mostly eat there? White peeled rice, beans and peas in a thousand different forms of cooking. This kind of soup or stew of vegetables and beans is called dal. Then there's curry. Also beans with something, with chicken and spices, for example, or with potatoes. And, of course, various Indian flatbreads (chapati, etc.) mostly made of white flour. It's all very delicious, especially at the beginning of the trip, and if you can convince the waiter to tell the cook not to spice it up))). But after a week of eating like that you realize that it's time to stop and switch to salad. Because my stomach and sides started to grow. Overall, what am I getting at? If you don't want to have a belly like an Indian beauty (big and round), then it's time to stop eating white rice, beans, flour products, and potatoes-that is, all the basic "Indian" set of foods. As sad as that is. Or at least move all this gastronomic splendor to the first half of the day. No carbs after 3 p.m., comrades!!!
